Eczema

Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a chronic skin condition characterized by dry, itchy, and inflamed skin, often appearing as red, itchy patches, and can cause blisters, weeping, and crusting. It typically affects the cheeks, neck, arms and legs sparing the groin and axillary regions.

Allergic Dermatitis/ Eczema is associated with elevated levels of Immunoglobulin E (IgE) and may be associated with other atopic diseases. Acute allergic reactions to foods, asthma, urticaria, and allergic rhinitis can also be potential triggers.

Eczema is diagnosed with the help of physical symptoms, history and  blood investigations.

Ayurveda focuses on pacifying the deranged doshas and eliminating the build up of Ama (toxins) with the help of Oral medication, external application like medicated oils and/or lepa (packs) along with therapies like Virechana ( Purgation), Raktamokshana (Blood letting) and/or Vasti (Medicated enema)

Your Ayurvedic Physician will also recommend diet and lifestyle customized for your symptoms and prakriti (Body constitution).
